Julie’s family line has gifted her with a storytelling heritage and continuation of cultural practice. She is inspired by family, country, culture, tradition and says “art is how culture continues and is maintained into the future. It strengthens connection to country. It’s my life, it’s in the blood, its family and its forever”.

Her storytelling is infused into her arts workshops, and this 3 hour workshop at Jamboree is guaranteed to be a real treat. Using native grasses, learn how to weave string, and turn it into beautiful, patterned basketry. Hear the stories behind this strong cultural tradition along the South Coast.
