About the Class
Learn an introduction to west african drumming rhythms and the drum ensemble used to create these amazing rhythms! A great introduction to this diverse and incredible instrument.
We will explore the rhythm yankadi, have an opportunity to play the drum parts – djembe drum and bass drums (dun duns) of this traditional rhythm.
If you have your own drum, please bring it along!
There is the opportunity to join in an ongoing West African Drumming Group after attending this class.
Max has been playing and studying west african drumming for over 13 years. He has performed for corporate events as well as entertainment venues and has also been teaching west african drumming for over 7 years. He regularly plays with local performance group The Beatmeisters.
