Ethiopian Cuisine with the Scarf Pop-Up Kitchen

$30. Sunday April 6th 10-12pm, Port Kembla Community Centre Ethiopian cuisine mostly consists of breads, stews called a wat, grains and spices. Often an Ethiopian Meal consists of a combination of injera or flatbread with different wats or stews, however each cultural group with have their own unique variations. Awesome social enterprise SCARF Ethiopian Catering team will teach us how to make delicious authentic dishes, and explain the cultural significance and background of the dish. Then you get to EAT IT! ABOUT YOUR TEACHER The SCARF Pop up Kitchen and Traditional Cuisine Catering  is an initiative of SCARF (Strategic Community Assistance for Refugee Families) that aims to help refugees interested in sharing their traditional cuisine gain the necessary training and skills to develop and maintain their own small business. They run regular pop-up kitchen events and catering.
