ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Hat Zaw Variety Rice is the Burmese Catering Team from the SCARF Pop up Kitchen and Traditional Cuisine Catering. This is an initiative of SCARF (Strategic Community Assistance for Refugee Families) that aims to help refugees interested in sharing their traditional cuisine gain the necessary training and skills to develop and maintain their own small business.
They run regular pop-up kitchen events and catering.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Thirroul Railway Institute Hall was a place of study for construction workers in the 1920's and onwards. It is now a heritage listed building and a lovely place of community events and happenings.
